Earline Scott Lee, age 70, of Alma passed away Saturday, October 27th at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was a native of Appling County but had lived most of her life in Bacon County. Earline was daughter of the late Alex Scott and Myrtle Wigley Scott and preceded in death by her husband Jack Lee and a sister, Louise Crosby. She was a member Tenth Street Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Darren Lee and wife Joni of Alma and a daughter, Jackie Butler and husband Tim of Baxley, four brothers, Herman Scott of Tennessee, Benjamin Scott of Florida, Harry Dale Scott of Baxley and Daniel Scott of Blackshear, five sisters, Velma Scott Tyre and Edna Scott of Baxley, Lawanda Scott Johnson and Glenda Scott Hennesy of Alma and Erma Scott Winn of Bristol and four grandchildren, Tucker Lee Stone & Bailee Lauren Butler of Baxley, Mykella Grace Lee and Jack Lee of Alma.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 31st at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening between 6 and 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Jerry Crosby, Lewis Tyre, Ray Johnson, Scotty Scott, Dr. Larry Dyal, Jr., Trent Scott, Alex Scott and Scott Hennesy. Honorary pallbearers will be; David Crosby, George Dyal, Lee Winn, Robby Wynn, Matthew Hennesy and all remaining nephews and nieces.
