Abby Brook Scott, age 21 of Alma, Georgia, arrived at her eternal home on Friday, November 18 th , 2022. She was surrounded by her loving family and supportive friends following a lengthy health battle with post-encephalitis induced Parkinson's. She rests now in the arms of Jesus and was reunited with her Uncle Preston and many others who have gone before her.

Abby was blessed by the Lord with the ability to touch other people with her long-lasting hugs, big personality, and even bigger smile. Abby was a 2019 graduate of Appling County High School. She participated in Encore cheerleading, show choir, beauty pageants and was crowned 2013 Junior Miss Georgia Blueberry. She enjoyed attending school dances and always looked forward to any social gathering where she could dress up and have a reason to buy a new outfit with sequins and bling. Abby looked forward to hanging out with her large circle of friends,especially her best friends, Lilli, and Maddi. They would sing the latest songs and learned new dances while entertaining everyone with their moves. She attended Alma United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in youth activities.

Abby made the world a better place. She loved seeing people and never met a stranger. She will be sorely missed by her family and all those who knew her and loved her. Her body is now healed, and she is once again our heavenly "dancing queen."

Abby is preceded in death by her Uncle Preston Collins. She is survived by her parents, Rob and Frankie Scott, siblings Carson Cooley (Lee), Madden Scott and Payton Scott, all of Alma;paternal grandparents, Glover and Maurice Scott of Alma and Cory "Toddy" and Inez Lane of Baxley. Additionally, she is survived by nieces Allie and Brooke Williams; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family. Abby had the privilege of being cared for by family friend, Dr. Clay Carter and staff, his wife Janet and her daily caregiver, Jessica Johnson. Each of these individuals were able to give Abby the best quality of life throughout her health journey.

Funeral services will be held, Monday November 21 ^st , at 11 A.M., at the Alma United Methodist Church with Rev. Roy McClung and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Eulogies will be given by Henry Jones and Hunter Leggett. Active pallbearers include Tyler Thomason, Holton Simmons, John David Black, Hunter Leggett, Caleb Johnson, and Mikel Barlow. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Clay Carter and family, Keven Carter and family, Derrin Wheeler and family, Jon Wheeler and family,  The Appling County Class of 2019 and Steve Jordan and family. The family will be receiving friends at Crosby Funeral Home Sunday night from 6-8 P.M. Internment will take place on the Scott Family Farm.
