Aleatha Simmons Crosby, age 92, of Alma passed away at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross on November 10, 2019 after a short illness. Daughter of Edward Dewey Simmons and Ida Belle Moore Simmons born in Bacon County on August 20, 1927. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Abner Jackson "A. J." Crosby, brothers Wilton "Pete" Simmons, Emmet Holt Simmons, Farris Simmons, sisters Iris Hutto, Nonnie Hutto, Pearl Andrews, Wilma Holman, Jackie DeLoach and Gloria Trowell. She was a member of the Alma Church of God.

Survivors include one sister Mary R. Parrish of Callahan, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 13 ^th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 AM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Cliff, Craig and Dusty Andrews, David and Kevin Trowell and David Higginbotham.  Twin Oaks Staff and Residents will serve as honorary escorts.
