Obituary
Alfred Nathaniel (Slim) Gay, III, age 79, of Alma passed away Saturday, January 13th at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Savannah, Ga. Alfred was son of the late Alfred N. Gay, Jr. and Rosamond Mack Strickland and preceded in death by his wife Mildred Gay, a brother, Lenard Gay and a sister, Clara Gay. He served in the US Army during Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two sons, Alfred N. Gay (Virginia) of Flowery Branch, Ga. and Carman E. Gay (Mary) of Patterson, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a special nephew, Jack Humphrey of Callahan, FL.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16th at 2:00 PM at Rigdon Cemetery with Rev. Mark Barth officiating.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
