Alice Dixon, age 76, of Alma passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was born August 30, 1947 in Bacon County to Ralph Crosby and Nadine Harris Byrd. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Mickey" Dixon and brother Glenn F. Crosby.

Survivors include her stepmother, Delama Crosby; daughters, Amy Gilliard (Jason) and Angie Cox; three grandchildren, Hannah Nobles (Kellan), Grant Gilliard (Lauren) and Mattie Cox; five great-grandchildren, Kate, Drake and Kooper Nobles,Kash Gilliard and   Alora Merritt; brothers, Jim Byrd (Melba) and Steve Byrd (Dorcell) and sisters, Eva Johnson and Janice Gilliard (Loy).

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at New Vision Church with Rev. Bobby Bentley. Amy Gilliard will give a personal eulogy.
