Alma Robinson, age 90 of Alma, Ga. died early Tuesday morning May 3rd at the Bacon county hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Egypt, Georgia, but had lived in Alma most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Edward "Ed" and Mary Lewis Roberson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Louis Robinson Sr., and two sons Louis Robinson Jr. and Alfonso Emmanuel Robinson.
Survivors include 3 sons, Edward L. Robinson, Anthony O'Neal Robinson (Regina) of Alma, and Jeffrey L. Robinson of Waycross, 6 daughters, Laverne Coachman (RC) of Waycross, Brenda Manley (Roy) of Alma, Mary Britt of Atlanta, Cora Stiggers of Waycross, Annie Pyron (William) of Atlanta, and Sandra Isom of Alma, 4 brothers Cleve Eddie Roberson and Johnnie Roberson (Geraldine) of Baxley, James Thomas Roberson (Lillian) of Fort Lauderdale and Dennis Roberson (Linda) of Baxley, 3 sisters, Eddie Mae Lewis of Fort Lauderdale, Betty Jean Roberson of Surrency and Rosa Roberson of Baxley, also 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 o'clock at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Baxley with Devin Brent officiating. Internment will follow in Rose Hill cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 P M.
Active pallbearers will be Chaderik Coachman, Walter Gibbs, Jemaine Gibbs, Darius Holton, Omar Hawkins, Demario Isom, and Trenton Williams. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort.
