Andrew Allen "Andy" Taylor, age 79, passed away September 3, 2024 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Alma and was son of the late Marvin Taylor and Maude Wicker Taylor. Besides his parents he was  preceded in death by his wife Rachel Stapleton Taylor.

He graduated from Bacon County High in 1962 and moved to Birmingham, Alabamato study law. After graduating Law School, he acquired California License and practiced law in Sacramento California for several years. In 1977 he acquired his Georgia licenses and moved to St. Simons Island and opened his own Law Firm in St. Mary's where he practiced for many years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 12:00 PM until service time.

The Class of 1962 will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
