Andrew J. Walker, age 85, of Alma passed away Tuesday, December 16th at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a native of Pierce County, son of the late Ellis Walker and Susie Davis Walker and preceded in death by his wife, Willa Billie Walker, two stepsons, Johnny & Rusty Johnson, two brothers, Richard & Corbitt Walker, two sisters, Bertha Sapp and Myrtle Walters, and a step grandson, Timmy Johnson. He was retired from the US Army after 20 years and was a member and Deacon of Hollyford Baptist Church in Jacksonville, FL.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Johnson of Alma, three brothers, Lyman Walker, Jimmy Walker and Stanley Walker of all Ocala, FL., a sister, Melba Anderson of Jacksonville, FL., 2 step granddaughters, Natalie Bozeman of Jacksonville, FL and Julie Hottinger of Key Stone Heights, FL, 7 step- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 19th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Nettles officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour before the funeral.
Active pallbearers will be; Rodney Wilson, P.J. Douglas, Mickey, David & Richard
Anderson, Pinckney Rogers and Gene Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be; Twin Oaks Nursing Home and all others in attendance.
