October 3, 1959 – November 16, 2024
Angela "Angie" Lynn Carter, age 65, of Alma passed away November 16, 2024 at Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was daughter of the late Wesley Carter and Clara Strickland Carter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary and A. J. Strickland; paternal grandparents, Eula and Lewis David Carter; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Angie had a heart of Gold and loved everyone. She enjoyed her radio collection and music whether it was country or gospel, etc. Her favorite country singer was George Strait. Angie loved animals, her dog Emmie, cat Ms. Kitty, meeting people, hugging them with a big smile on her face. Another important part of her life was Angie loved her Jesus and her church. Angie was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Denise Carter and Sonja Carter, aunt Betty Strickland and several cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Gill and Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be Bill Jordan, Edward Jordan, T-Boy Carter, Chuck Carter, Austin Allen, Scott Taylor, Sammy Peacock, Rodney Deen, Mike Boatright, David Strickland and Jeffery Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Ten Mile Baptist Church, special caregivers, Mary Moore and Rhonda Jackson and all others in attendance.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
