Ann Simmons, age 80, of Alma passed away February 26, 2023 in Coffee County after an extended illness. She was born November 2, 1942 in Appling County to Gene Mixon and Georgia Bell Crews Mixon. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilton "Pete" Simmons, son, Randall Wilton Simmons, daughter, Rhonda Simmons and two grandsons, Peter Simmons and Randall Simmons, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Regina Medders and husband Winky of Alma;two grandsons, Patrick Simmons and Austin Medders; two great-grandchildren and sister, Betty Jean Smith of Lumber City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at New Hope Church with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends Wednesday at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Cliff and Craig Andrews, David and Kevin Trowell, Dusty Andrews and Gary Smith. Members of New Hope Church will serve as honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
