Annell (Nell) Warnock Rowell, age 67, of Alma died Saturday afternoon Jan. 19th, 2013 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Appling County but had lived most of her life in Bacon County. She was the daughter of the late Ira Lee (Hoke) Warnock and Mirtiel Daniels Warnock. Nell had an avid interest in all animals and was a caregiver for many over the years. She was a member of New Hope Southern Congregational Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Ottis Newton Rowell of Alma, two aunts, Lucille Griffin of Ocilla, Myrtice Crosby of Savannah and several cousins survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22nd at 2:00 o'clock at New Hope S C M Church with Rev. Robert Varnadore and Rev. T F Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 9 P M. The body will be carried to the church at 11:00 o'clock Tuesday to lie in state until funeral time.
Active pallbearers will be Max Tillman, Ronnie Boatright, Winston Miles, Mickey Dixon and Mac Douglas. Honorary pallbearers will be New Hope Adult Sunday school class and members of the class of 1963.
