Annie Louise Clark Charles, age 86, of Alma passed away at her residence after an extended illness on September 22, 2016. She was a native of Easley, South Carolina but had lived in Alma since 2013. Annie was born on June 30, 1930 to David Clark and Cummie Masters Clark. She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Frank" Charles, one sister, Virginia "Ginger" Brittian.

Survivors include one son, John Charles (Gail) of Greenville, SC., five daughters, Virginia (Ginny) Sisson (Rick) of Hoover, AL., Marie Whitacre (Max) of Alma, Jo Anne Mann (Joey) of Camden, AL, Theresa Mason (Gary) of Auburn, NY. and Barbara Sinclair (Dwight) of Suffolk, VA., two sisters, Dottie Stephens of Hickory, NC., and Rachel Griffith of Simpsonville, SC.; also 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 25th at 1:30 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Sweat officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home one hour before the funeral.

Active pallbearers will be; Tyler Mason, Mark Whitacre and Jeremiah Lapointe. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
