Anthony Wayne "Andy" Hutto, age 62, of Alma passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 19, 2021 after a short illness.

He was born September 7, 1958 in Bacon County.  He was a graduate of the class of 1976 of Bacon County High School. Andy was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Bacon County Lions Club. He has served as Chairman of the Bacon County Commissioners for more than eight years.

His deep love for Bacon County was expressed throughout working in the family business Hutto Concrete Company and his ownership of Hutto Construction Company and in serving as Chairman of County Commissioners. His love for God, his family, others earned him the friendship of many which he truly cherished.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rena Mae Long Hutto and sister Janet Yawn. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Dana Jarrard Hutto; his father, Jack Hutto (Demaris) of Alma; three children, Cliff Hutto (Lyndsey) of Marietta, Dr. Blake Hutto (Megan), Ty Hutto and Jim Wheeler (Amber) of Alma; one brother, Eric Hutto (Anissa) of Alma and nine grandchildren, Chasity & Dereck Blocker, Dutch, Elliott & Oakes Hutto, Rowan & Sadie Hutto, Azalee & Thea Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Rikard and Rev. Brooks Haddock officiating.  Mask and social distancing will be required. There will be no public visitation. A private family graveside will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to: The Gideon's International, St. Jude Hospital or Nunnally House

Active pallbearers will be; Marty Medders, Joe Overstreet, Jr., Jimmy Lassiter, Kevin Ellis, Bentley Carter and Mike Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be; Office Staff of the Bacon County Commissioners Office, The County Commissioners, Larry Taylor and Paul Deen.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
