Azielee D. McCarty, age 91, of Alma died Wednesday January 21st, 2015 at her home after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County but had lived in Bacon County most of her life, was daughter of the late Kellie Dixon and Nancy Strickland Dixon, also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Sterling (D S) McCarty, two infant sons and a great-great grandchild Kellan McCarty. Azielee was a member of the New Lacy Church of God.

Survivors include a son Eddie McCarty of Alma, four daughters, Bernice Moore of Alma, Shirlene Green of Brunswick, Patsy Padgett (Henry) and Debra Ann Holland (Charles) of Alma, a brother, Edgar Dixon of Alma, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren 3 great-great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24th at 11:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Long and Rev. R B Gaskin officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday morning between 10:00 A M and funeral time. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery on Highway 203.

Active pallbearers will be, Scott McCarty, Donald Moore, Kerry Green, Michael McCarty, Ken Long and David Miller. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
