Barbara Ann Hersey, age 72, of Alma passed away peacefully January 4, 2022 at her residence. Born on September 10, 1949 in Homerville, Georgia to Frank Morrell and Sarah Elizabeth Beckham Morrell. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by daughter, Pamela Wilbanks, brother, James Morrell and two sisters, Dolly Mae Sermons and Betty Sue Baker. She was a member of Iron Road Holiness Church in Douglas.

Mrs. Barbara is survived by her husband of 41 years, Michael Hersey of Alma; three children, Richard Earl Reliford, Samson Reliford and Dorothy Elizabeth Hersey all of Alma; two brothers, Terry Morrell (Virginia) of Pearson, Larry Morrell (Minnie) of Homerville; two sisters, Jo Ann Gilberta (Bobby) of Florida, Janie Griffis (Tiny) of Homerville; four grandchildren, James Griffis, Rachel Ann Smith, Ashley Matthews and Marina Johnson and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Barbara will be held at a later date.
