Barbara Delaine Sweat, age 66, of Nicholls passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 4, 2020. Born in Ware County on October 14, 1953 to Horace Purvis and Marie Griffis Purvis. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dale Green and Judy Moody.

Mrs. Barbara was retired from Bacon County Board of Education as a Paraprofessional and Bus Driver, she was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Paul Sweat of Nicholls, children, Jamie Paul Sweat (Julie) and Angela Sweat of Alma, three sisters, Debbie Walker of Cordele, GA., Evelyn Carter (Donnie) and Candy Sweat (John) of Alma, brother-in-law, Jim Green of Atlanta, GA. and three grandchildren, Amberly, James and Jacob Sweat of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 8 ^th at 2:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time. No graveside service will be held. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
