Nancy Beatrice Parker, age 94, of Alma passed away at her residence on July 22, 2017 after a short illness. She was born in Alma on June 2, 1923 to the late Eddie Lee Mercer and Ethel Murphy Mercer; besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Terrell "W.T." Parker, her daughter, Seleta Ann Taylor, three brothers, D. W. Mercer, Rufus Mercer and Henry Lee Mercer and a sister, Pauline Williams.

Mrs. Parker is survived by two sons, Wayne Parker and wife Rose of Alma and Terry Matthew Parker and wife Peggy of Clearmont, FL.; also 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 27 ^th at 11:00 at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Blowe, Rev. Steve Lee and Rev. Dean Kapp officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at Big Creek Church from 10:00 AM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Tommy Mercer, Chad Parker, Wayne Parker, Jr., Wayne Groves, Jaison Parker and Joey Siebold. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
