Obituary

Benjamin Tatum, age 39, of Nicholls passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida after a short illness. Born in Bacon County on February 25, 1982 to George Bennie Tatum and Kathy Strickland Tatum.

Benjamin was a member of Alma First Baptist Church and worked for Beasley Forest Products in Hazlehurst.

Survivors include his fiancé, Maelyn Pittman of Blackshear, his mother Kathy Tatum of Nicholls; sister, Robbin Richardson and husband Bob of Blue Ridge, GA.; niece and nephew, Ella Richardson of Blue Ridge, GA. and Bailey Richardson of Steamboat Spring, CO.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Richardson, Rev. Greg Delk and Rev. Ron Sweatt, Rev. Chris Callahan and Rev. Skip Wells officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Anthony Tsaklis, Scott Roberts, Bailey Richardson, Jay Lee, Dustin Lee and Juan Bello. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Mask and social distancing will be required at the service.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
