Benny Fletcher "B. F. Carter, age 87, of Alma passed away December 30th at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Elbert Carter and Addie Yawn Carter and was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Carter.

Survivors include two sons, Gary B. Carter and wife Shirley of Pooler, GA. and Brian S. Carter of Atlanta, GA, four sisters, Marcella Altman Sindad of Florida, Eunice Manning of Albany, GA., Betty Dowling and husband Ray of Waycross and Pat Wilson and husband Jerry of Chattanooga, TN. a sister-in law, Eleanor Carter; also a granddaughter, Christy Crowley (Scott) , 2 great-grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Crowley of Savannah, GA.
A grave side services will be held Friday, January 1st at 11:00 AM at Yawn Cemetery with Rev. T. F. Yawn officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 10:30 AM until 11:00AM.
