Benny Ralph Douglas, age 63, of Alma passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was born on March 26, 1953 to the late Ralph Alexander Douglas and Essie Teston Douglas. Benny was owner and operator of Douglas Machinery for many years.

Survivors include his son, David Douglas (Kaleigh) of Alma, three daughters, Jennifer Overstreet (Nick) of Vidalia, GA., Lindsay Johns (Steve) of Alamo, GA. and Misty Anderson (Bill) of Alma, one sister, Lynnette Douglas Schoenfeld (Richard) of Duluth, GA., his step-mother, Mildred Douglas of Jacksonville, FL., aunt, Ophelia Douglas of Kennasaw, GA.; also 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 29th at 11:00 AM at New Vision Church with Rev. Pet Hayes and Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Douglas Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Ricky "Hipp" Boatright, Big Ricky Taylor, Joe Mikell, Billy Taylor, Donnie Jack Taylor and Chris Anderson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
