On November 2, at 3 a.m., Mrs. Rever Morris (Betty) passed away peacefully at her home in Alma, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Rever Morris; her son, Dale Morris; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.W. Taylor, Sr; her brothers, L.W. Taylor, Jr, Fred Taylor, and Windle Taylor; and grandson, Rob Goodman.

She is survived by her children: Sheila Morris Jones and Debra Morris Futch (Kenneth); her grandchildren: Brandon Jones, Lauren Helton, Justin Goodman, Dusty Morris, Amanda Goodman, and Brantley Morris; and 21 great grandchildren.

Betty was a native of Bacon County, and she always treasured being a part of her beloved community, praying each day to be a blessing to her family and friends. She was a faithful servant to her Savior, Jesus Christ, and her church, as long as her health permitted. She loved and served her family sacrificially. She started and managed her own company, Morris's Florist & Gifts, for over 50 years. She was an invaluable helpmate to her husband, who was the founder of Morris Ace Hardware, Morris Blueberry Farms, and Morris Farm Supply and Feedmill. However, she always commented that her favorite job in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother – a truth evident in her daily sacrifices. One of her favorite ways to express this love was by preparing large family meals that brought everyone together. She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 06, 2025, at 11 A.M. at Alma Christian Fellowship with Rev. R.B. Gaskins and Rev. Calvin Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Crosby Funeral Home Wednesday night from 6-8 P.M.

Active pallbearers include Brandon Jones, Justin Goodman, Dusty Morris, Brantley Morris, Joe Helton, Judge Jones, Jagger Young, and Maddox Helton. Junior pallbearers include, Ace Goodman, Abe Goodman, Bennett Morris, and Hudson Morris.

Honorary pallbearers include members of the Women's SS Class and prayer group and the caregivers of Mrs. Morris.
