Betty Nettles, age 69, of Alma passed away August 22, 2022 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born in Orange County, Florida on March 2, 1953 but had lived in Bacon County for many years. She was daughter of the late Jessie William Dennis and Elsie Marie Kimberley King and preceded in death by a grandson, Mason Morehouse; two sisters, Eula Mae Desky, Bonnie Sue Cannon; four brothers, Marvin Dennis, Horace Dennis, James Dennis and Wallace Dennis.

Mrs. Betty was retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken and was a member of Old Pine Grove Church.

Survivors include her two children, Jimmy Nettles of Odessa, FL. and Renee (Brian) Morehouse of Waycross; four grandchildren, Madeline and Lana Nettles and Trevor and India Morehouse; three brothers, Walter (Barb) Dennis of Arkansas, Billy (Tammy) Dennis of Macon and Tony Dennis of Warner Robins; five sisters, Lillie Holden of Jacksonville, FL., Shirley (Terry) Smith of Summit, AK., Linda Dennis of Warner Robins, Gayle (Steve) Crosby of Baxley and Fay Powers of Syracuse, NY.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 26 ^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Old Pine Grove Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Mike Nettles, Trevor Morehouse, Dwayne Walsh, Joey Nettles, Josh Nettles, Donnie Conner. Honorary pallbearers will be; Dwayne Holton, Sheila Lee, Donna Taylor, Dr. Clay Carter, Gladys Shepard, Jack and Barbara Nettles, Bill and Susan Hyers, Kim Spires. Jimmy and Linda Bagley and Warnie and Judy Nettles.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
