Betty Darceil Sapp, age 76, of Alma passed away Wednesday, July 23rd at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County and daughter of the late Johnny Jackson White, Sr. and Annie Boyette White. Darceil was preceded in death by husband, John Drew (Yank) Daniels, two brothers, Travis and Johnny White and four sisters, Dorothy Cole, Odean Thorwley, Mary Kirkland and Anna Robinson.
Survivors include six sons, Larry Carter & Roger Carter of Blackshear, Steve Carter of Bristol, Randy Carter, Sr. of Chesapeake, VA., Wallace Carter of Alma and Joseph W. Adkison of Plano, TX., brother, William A. White of Douglas, two sisters, Jane Ann Hall of Nicholls and Nancy Elaine Deen of Alma; also 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 27th at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Mary Ida Timms officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening 6 to 9 PM.
