Betty Stewart, age 88, of Alma passed away on January 19, 2021 at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Coffee County on February 7, 1932 to Clyde Carter and Estelle Tanner Carter.
Mrs. Betty was retired from the Bacon County Concerted Services and a member of Campground Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Stewart; son, Trenton Stewart; grandson, Garrett Stewart and three sisters, Marie Pritchard, Marion Thomas and Wilma Jordan. Survivors include two children, James Stewart and Susan Music (Roy) of Alma; one sister, Linnie Sue Kicklighter of Blackshear; five grandchildren, Jamie Stewart (Diane), Shannon Stewart (Deb), Ryan Stewart (Faith), Paten Stewart and Jesse Stewart; also 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, January 24 th at 2:00 PM at Campground Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Thomas and Rev. T. F. Yawn officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1:00 PM until service time.
Mask and social distancing are required.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
