Billy Mac Dyal, age 71, of Alma passed away on October 30, 2020 at his residence after a short illness. He was born on July 9, 1949 in Bacon County to Warnie Lee Dyal, Sr. and Donna Lee Hogan Morris. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Billy Austin Dyal and three brothers, Jimmy Ray Dyal, John Dyal and Paul Dyal.
Billy Mac served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, was a member of the VFW Post 4625 and served as Post Commander the past 5 years. He was also a member of Grace Chapel Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Amelia Mercer Dyal, two daughters, Callie Dyal and Billie Erin Dyal, two granddaughters, Asia Dyal and Billie Mae Lee Dyal all of Alma, brother, Warnie Lee Dyal, Jr. and wife Cathy of Alma and a sister, Mary Lee Greer of Nicholls.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Nettles and Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Eulogy will be given by James Woodard. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Desi Wade, Scotty and Bryson Lott, Terrell Sallet, Scott Ivey and Gene Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be; VFW & Auxiliary Members of Post 4625 and all others in attendance.
Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
