Billy Delonie Taylor Sr. age 78 passed away Tuesday July 14th at his residence, after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and the son of the late Alvin Woodrow Taylor and Maggie Nolie Carter Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife Bertha Lee Taylor, one great-grandchild Orie Grissett III, one brother Bobby Taylor, and two sisters Patsy Altman and Linda Sue Taylor.

Survivors include two sons Glenn R. Taylor and Billy D. Taylor Jr. (Sandi) of Alma, daughter Jan Taylor of Alma, three brothers Barney Taylor (Gail), Byron Taylor (Virginia), and James "Boss" Taylor all of Alma, two sisters Peggy Igou (Mack) of Baxley, and Margaret "Midge" Paige of Alma. Also 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday morning July 17, at 10 AM, at Holton Cemetery with Rev. Jason Hutto and Rev. Tommy Rigdon officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
