Bobbie Jean Lee Johnson, age 93, passed away August 28, 2025, after a short illness. She was born in Bacon County on July 26,1932, to the late John Quincey Lee and Adele Kirkland Lee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Emory A. Johnson; her brothers Daniel, Lemuel "Buddy", Ronnie (Laveen), David, and Steve Lee; two sisters and brothers-in law, Eunity Sweat (Edd) and Madeline Sweat (Hilton).

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Giraldo (David) of Alma; one grandson, Cooper Kennedy; two brothers, Russell Lee (Joyce) of Callahan, FL and Quitman Lee (Betty) of Waresboro; and sisters-in-law, Carol and Carolyn Lee; many nieces, nephews and loved ones also survive.

She was a long-time member of Lees Chapel Church and its oldest member. She was employed with the Bacon County School System in the cafeteria for many years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2 P.M. at Lees Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk officiating and eulogy by her daughter, Leslie Giraldo. The family will be receiving friends Friday at the funeral home from 6-8 PM.

Active pallbearers include Jamie Sweat, Dustin Lee, Steven Lee, Kenny Ray, Jeff Lee, and Lemuel Lee

All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.

In honor of Bobbie, donations may also be made to Lees Chapel Cemetery Fund.
