Obituary

Bobbie Nell Taylor, age 83, of Alma passed away on October 23, 2021 at the Pavillion in Baxley after an extended illness. Born on February 9, 1938 in Austin, Georgia, but had lived most of her life in Bacon County.  She was daughter of the late Solomon New and Maxine Lott New and preceded in death by her husband, Billy J. Taylor; son, Billy Shane Taylor and sister, Betty Jo Laster. She was a lifelong member of Liberty Church of God.

Survivors include her daughter, Denise Diprima (Ed Watford) of Alma; two brothers, Tony New (Shannon) and Troy New of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Heather Carter (Doug) of Bristol, Josh Walker (Kimi) of Baxley, Haley Nix (Steve) of Adel and Makayla Taylor of Alma and four great grandchildren, Hunter, Payton and Landon Carter, Rylee and Paislee Walker.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Church of God with Pastor Mark Carver, Pastor Leon Guest and Pastor Howard Conine officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Hunter Carter, Payton Carter, Landon Carter, Rylee Walker, Doug Carter and Steve Nix. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
