Bobby Wayne Kirkland, age 78, of Alma passed away July 6, 2022 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Coffee County on March 11, 1944 to Leonard Kirkland and Linnie Mae Stevens Kirkland. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Leonard Kirkland, Jr.

Mr. Bobby was retired from CSX Railroad, a member of the Michigan Blueberry Growers Association and a lifelong member of Wolf Pit Congregational Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Lewis Kirkland; two children, Tammie Reyes and husband Romeo and Wayne Kirkland and wife Alisa of Alma; five grandchildren, Hannah (Lane) Dailey, Jacob Reyes, Anslei Reyes, Chase Kirkland and Alexis Kirkland; six sisters, Jeanett (Danny) Davis of Memphis, TN., Bonnie (Julian) Lewis, JoAnn (Herbert) Stokes, Barbara (Buddy) Kirby of Alma, Francis Bowen of Douglas and Wanell (Glennell) Moody of Baxley; sister-in-law, Janell Kirkland and several nieces and nephews .

Visitation will be held Saturday July 9 ^th at 10:00 AM at Wolf Pit Congregational Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mark Carver and Pastor T. F. Yawn and Pastor Danny Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Greg Lewis, Randy Lewis, Ottis Lewis, Lane Dailey, Kenneth Walker and Steven Johnson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
