Bonnie R. Crosby, age 72, of Alma died early Friday morning October 5, 2012 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Jeff Davis County but had lived in Bacon County the past 25 years. She was daughter of the late Gilbert Carroll Rentz and Ruby Bryant Rentz and was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Robert Burnette, two brothers, James and Dan Rentz. Bonnie was a beautician for many years.

Survivors include five sons, James Crosby (Kim), Paul Crosby, Cully Crosby, Clay Crosby and Gray Crosby all of Alma. Two daughters, Leesa Lee (Robbie) and Christy Spell all of Alma. Also nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. R B Gaskin officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Paul and James Crosby, Trent Boatright, Zeth Tanner, Ronnie Register and J C Purvis. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
