Brenda Jean Cothern, age 69, of Nicholls passed away on August 13, 2022 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was born in Lepanto, Arkansas on January 28, 1953 to the late James Malon Long and Jessie Mildred Thornsberry Long. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew Christopher Davidson and daughter-in-law, Helen Rivera.

Survivors include two sons, Jerry Albritton and wife Gina of Blackshear and Willie Cothern, Jr. of Bluffton, SC.; two daughters, Jeannette Leggett and husband Joe of Nicholls and Annette Thomas of Douglas; sister, Lisa Davidson of Lakeland, FL.; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; also 2 nieces and a great niece and 3 great nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20 ^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
