Brenda G. Harrell, age 59, of Alma passed away suddenly on June 28, 2021 at her residence after a short illness. Born in Bacon County on January 18, 1962 to Benny Cothern and Nelda Faye Rewis Cothern. She was a life long member of Southside Church of God.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Crummey; mother in law, Carolyn Sandiford and sister in law, Cathy Cadwell. Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Kendall Harrell; son, Dusty Cothern (Kelli); sister, Jamie Tyre (Jeffery) all of Alma; grandchildren, Noah and Eli Cothern; nephews, Trey Crummey and Tyler Weaver; niece, Meagen Bezonia and her God mother, Aunt Peggy Miles (Bruce) of Baxley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Pastor David Deen and Pastor R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Ray Knowlton, Johnny Rewis, James Henry Carter, Brad Carter, Ronnie Taylor, Wayne Herrington and Bruce Carson. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bacon County Primary School Lunchroom Staff and Bacon County Primary school Staff.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
