Brenda Faye Rigby Williams of Douglas, age 73, passed away December 1, 2024 at St. Joseph's/ Candler Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. She was born in Bacon County on April 11, 1951 to the late William Henry Rigby and Jessie Mae Ray Rigby.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Karen Youngblood, Essie Bagley, Bessie Dennis and Glayds Douglas; two brothers, L. B. Rigby and W. B. Rigby and her grandson, Mathew Rewis.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Paul Williams, Jr. of Douglas; sons, Dewayne (Michelle) Rewis and Carroll (Vickie) Rewis of Alma; step-daughters, Heather (Curt) Hobbs and Wendi Batten of Douglas; sisters, Carolyn (Mike) Taylor of Sasser and "Sissie" Linda (Oral) Shuman of Denton; seven grandchildren, Kayla Butler of Tifton, Marla Rewis of Baxley, Kyle and Klent Rewis of Alma, Brooklyn Reeder, C.J, Hobbs and Janie Batten of Douglas; nine great-grandchildren, Lauren, Elizabeth, Salder, Emmielynn, Kennedy, Memphis, Briggs, Remington and Brinley. Many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Eason officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Kyle and Klent Rewis, Derek Shumans, Chad Slaughter, Aaron Wade and Jimmy Youngblood. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
