Brittany Shea Hughes, a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and fiancée, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2024, in Ellijay, Georgia. Born on June 24, 1986, in Alma, Georgia, Brittany's life was a reflection of kindness, generosity, and compassion. Her love for family and her adventurous spirit touched all who knew her.

Brittany was the devoted mother of three children—Cameron, Carson, and Braylin—who were the light of her life. She made her home with her children in Ellijay, Georgia. She is survived by her parents Dana (Mike) Ware of Ellijay, Georgia, and Darrell (Sharon Silas) Hughes of Hazlehurst, Georgia; her siblings Jason Hughes and Kaydence Hughes of Hazlehurst, Georgia; Allie Ware of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Casey Ware of Spokane Valley, WA; and her paternal grandmother Betty Johns of Hazlehurst, Georgia. Brittany was engaged to Dereck Green and was joyfully planning their wedding for the summer of 2025.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Walter and Patricia Wilcox Peterson of Folkston, Georgia; and her paternal grandfathers Russell Hughes and Billy Johns of Hazlehurst, Georgia. An honor graduate of Central Georgia Technical College with a degree in Radiologic Technology, Brittany's dedication to her profession exemplified her lifelong commitment to helping others. Her compassion extended beyond her career into every aspect of her life.

Having grown up in Carrollton and Folkston before attending college in Macon and later settling in Ellijay, Brittany formed lasting friendships wherever she went. Her warmth and generous spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service will be held at Pine Level Freewill Baptist Church in Alma, Georgia, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 1 p.m., with family visitation beginning at 12 p.m. May Brittany's legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire all who knew her.
