Bruce Wanzette Benton, age 67 of Alma passed away suddenly at his residence on July 7, 2021. Born in Bacon County on June 29, 1954 to Harold Wanzette Benton and Angie Uldine Lee Benton. He was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Baby Boy Benton. Survivors include his wife, Jana Tanner Benton of Alma; two daughters, Misty Garcia (Adam) of St. Simons Island, GA. and Jessica Overstreet (Kris) of Alma; son, Matthew Hennesy (Ashlie) of Alma and five grandchildren, Ethan Benton, Maverick Garcia, Addy Overstreet, Fisher and Emma Hennesy.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
