Carl Timith Davis, Sr. age 74, of Alma passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. He was son of the late Dan Davis and Ciller Bell Taylor. Carl is preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Sue Davis and Angie Marie Herrin, a great grandson, Jacob Reese Davis and five brothers, Clarence, Junior, Harvey, Johnny and James Davis. He worked with the Bacon County Sheriff Office, was a retired truck driver, served in the US Army and was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Sarah Audine Davis, four children, Tim Davis (Debra Lynn), Darrell Davis (Joyce), Jeffery Davis and Carla Johnson all of Alma, six sisters, Melba Everly of Melbourne, FL., Linda Jean Deen (Cecil) of Waycross, GA., Bonnie Touchton of Hampton, GA., Dorothy Hawkins of Alma, Connie Morris (Larry) of Hoboken, GA. and Nola Bell Tanner of Waycross, GA.; also 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 23rd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Mac Dyal and Rev. David Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Big Creek Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; T. J. Davis, Chris Davis, Will and Dillon Davis, Todd Hersey and John Hersey. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
