Carl Miller, age 64, of Mershon passed away January 29, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born November 19, 1959 in Appling County. He was son of the late Johnny Miller and in addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dewayne Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Labors Local 515 and the Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Faye Gaskins Miller of Mershon; two sons, Joshua Miller and wife Shonda and Caleb Miller both of Mershon; granddaughter, Cady Miller; his mother, Nina Mincey Miller of Baxley; two brothers, Earl Miller and wife Leigh of Baxley and Edward Miller of Cedar Crossing; and two sisters, Judy Miller of Baxley and Patsy Stanley and husband Tommy of Lumber City.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bishop R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Donnie Mullis officiating. Interment will follow in Damascus Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Shane Gaskins, Chad Stanley, Brent Miller, Luke Culbreath, Hunter Moore and Tyler Rainwater. Honorary pallbearers will be his river family (past and present) and all his fishing buddies.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
