Henry Carl Rigby, age 87, passed away suddenly at his residence April 29, 2026. He was born in Bacon County on February 15,1939, to the late Walter B. Rigby and Ona Mae Bagley Tanner. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Riley, Gerald, and Larry Rigby; sisters, Geraldine Taylor, Mary Frances Wade, and Mary Ann Rigby; son, Christopher Dale Rigby; grandson, Scott Rewis; stepfather, Clifford Tanner; and stepmother, Margie Rigby.
He served in the United States Airforce. He was a retired lineman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers after many years of service. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Florence Meeks Rigby; daughters, Reeanna Rigby and Julie Lynn Rigby; stepdaughters, Bonnie Rewis and Terry Miller; stepson, John Hyers; brothers, Tony Rigby (Sheryl), Donnie Rigby, and Roger Rigby (Pat); sisters, Judy Anderson (Michael), Angie Rigby (Roger), Linda Medders (Joe), and Debbie Lee (Gordon); sister-in-law, Wanda Rigby; special great-granddaughter, Ellisa Boatright. Ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 01, at 11 AM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. T.F. Yawn officiating. Interment will follow at Damascus Church Cemetery.
