Carl Stephen “Stevie” Moore, age 68, passed away July 16, 2026, at St Vincent’s Riverside after a brief illness. He was a native of Bacon County born November 13, 1957, to the late Frank Cleveland Moore and Pauline Taylor Moore Westberry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Colby Moore; brothers, Frank and John Moore; and his sister, Mary Ellen Moore.

He retired from CSX Railroad after many years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gail Moore; his daughter, Allison Boatright; brothers, Will Moore (Sharon), Herman Moore (Helen), Freddy Moore (Lee), and Marvin Moore; sisters, Virginia Moore and Gail Taylor (Dennis); grandchildren, Seth Knight, Asher Boatright, and Connor Boatright.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 21, 2026, Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church at 10 AM with Pastor Greg Delk and Rev. John Sasser officiating. Interment will follow at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Crosby Funeral Home Monday night from 6-8 PM.

Active pallbearers include Seth Knight, Asher Boatright, Connor Boatright, Marvin Moore, Rusty Sears, and Taylor Sellers. All in attendance will be considered honorary pallbearers.
