Annie Carlene Mercer Westberry, age 85, of Alma passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA. after an extended illness. She was born in Alma on January 25, 1932 to the late Jimmie Lee Mercer and Annie Jane Mercer. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a grand daughter, Pamela Ann Howell, two brothers, J.L. Mercer and Dave Mercer and three sisters, Elishie Ramsey, Ollie Hart and Lottie Tanner.

Mrs. Westberry is survived by three sons, Joshua Stephen Story of Alma, Mitchell Wright Story of Baxley and Kenneth Carl Westberry of Albany, NY., two daughters, Vicki Howell and Susan Carlene Story of Alma; also 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28 ^th at 11:00 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Cox and Rev. Lang Ingram officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Austin Trejo, Casey Spires, Stephen Story, Trevor Howell, Dakota Olvera and Mitchell Story. Honorary pallbearers will be; Twin Oaks Nursing Home Staff and Dr. Harrison Carter.
