Carol Whidby Albritton, 63, of Nicholls passed away August 17, 2023 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Rev. T. R. Whidby.

Mrs. Albritton was a LPN with Appling County Hospital and a member of Wolf Pit Church.

Survivors include her mother, Valdese Rigdon Yawn (W.C.) of Alma; two brothers, Gary Whidby (JoAnn) of Conyers and Tommy Whidby (Rena) of Alma and two sisters, Donna Smith (Steve) of Baxley and Connie Mercer (Jimmy) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Wolf Pit Church with Pastor Josh Gardner and Pastor Robbie Yawn. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 1:00-2:00 at Wolf Pit Church.

Active pallbearers will be Andrew, Mercer, Jamie Whidby, Danny Whidby, Michael Thomas, Josh Gardner and Kevin Thompson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
