Carol Deen Holton, age 82ofAlma, passed away at Twin OaksNursing Home on Thursday, June 7, 2018 after an extended illness. She was born in Baxley, Georgia on January 2, 1936to the late Lewis Sowelland Ruby Evans Sowell. Carol was preceded in death by two husbands, Simon Clifford Waters and Royce C. Holton, a son Roy Waters and two brothers, Lewis Sowell, Jr. and Clinton Sowell. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in Hoboken/Nahunta, GA.

Survivors include two children,Janice Kirton (Bill) of Dixie Union, GA. and Teddy Clifford Waters (Ella) of Sweetwater, TN., a sister, Alice Riddick (Therman) of Palatka, FL., 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral service will be held at Chapel of CrosbyFuneral Home on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 2:00 PMwith Rev. Butch Hickox officiating.  Burial will follow atNew HopeChurch Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, June  9, 2018 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PMatCrosby Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be; Tom Roser, Bill Kirton, Tyler Hardee, Mike and Ken Riddick.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Twin Oaks Nursing Home and all others in attendance.
