Carolyn May Banker, age 77, of Surrency passed away January 27, 2023 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a short illness. She was born May 28, 1945 in Lavonia, Michigan to Walter Richard Snyder and Rose Horn Snyder.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Kenneth Reinhold Banker; son, David Banker; several brothers and a sister.

Survivors include six daughters, Tammy Phillips (Clayton) of Windsor, MO, Diana Paulk (Robert) of Cartersville, GA, Barbara Blaney (Kenneth) of Gaffney, SC, Denise Gilliard (Welsey) of Nicholls, GA, Linda Mercier (Brian) of Surrency, GA, Becky Palmer (Philip) of Ochlocknee, GA; daughter-in-law, Cathy Banker of Stockbridge, GA; 24 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Whatley and Rev. Dennis Banker officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday morning from 11:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Active pallbearers will be: Nolan Riley, Austin Banker, Daniel Reed, Brandon Morris, Brian Mercier, Jr. and Brandon Carlisle.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
