Carolyn L. Sandiford, age 77, of Alma passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Otis Cothren and Hattie Taylor Cothren and preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Laverne Caldwell and two brothers, Jack and Mack Cothren. She was a member of Southside Church of God.

Survivors include three sons, Steve Harrell and wife Joyce, Kendall Harrell and wife Brenda and Phillip Sandiford and wife Dawn all of Alma, four brothers, Billy Cothren, (Barbara) of New York, Bobby Cothren (Wanda) of Alma, Ted Cothren (Gail) of Hazlehurst and Larry Cothren (Kathy) of Sessoms, a sister, Evelyn Yawn of Waycross; also 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 15 ^th at 2:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Rev. Mark Carver, Rev. R. B. Gaskins and Rev. Allen Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Ray Knowlton, Johnny Rewis, Lester Simmons, Andre Brinson, Lee Simmons, Larry Burnette, Brad Carter and Orlando. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
