Carolyn Marguerite Wildes, age 87, of Alma passed away suddenly May 11, 2025 at Memorial Health System in Savannah. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Charlie Reece Wood and Clyde Elizabeth Kato Wood. Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bryant Wildes, son, Brandon Wildes, brother, Maurice Wood and sister, Charlene Boatright.

Mrs. Wildes was retired from Duval County School Board and was a member of Douglas Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Tara Wildes (James Bowen) and DeAnna Douglas (Sidney); grandson, Alexander Bowen (Amanda) and great-grandchildren, Eloise and Silas Bowen; and one brother, Carlton Wood (Nell).

Funeral services will be held Saturday (May 17,2025) at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.
