Catherine Janice "Cassie" King Taylor, age 90 of Alma passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Pavilion in Baxley after an extended illness. She was born in Ware County on October 1, 1931 to George Dewey King, Sr. and Flossie Mae Bennett King. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Taylor, Jr.; eight brothers, Julian Curtis King, Glynn Gray King, George D. King, Jr., Howard King, Richard King, Larry King, J.W. King and Harry King and two sisters, Nell Ree Beauregard and Betty Jo Wright.  Mrs. Taylor was a member of Elizabeth Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from Twin Oaks Nursing Home after more than 20 years of employment.

Survivors include two daughters, Hilda Taylor and husband John and Phyllis McDonald and husband Frank of Alma; three grandchildren, Angela Tucker, Laura Wyatt and Stuart Taylor (Daisy); two brothers, Sammy King and wife Joyce of Fitzgerald and Lester King of Dixie Union and one sister, Annette Gurley and husband Eddie of Florida; also 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Elizabeth Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Amy Carter officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Members of Elizabeth Chapel Methodist Church, Dr. Errol Graham and the Staff of the Pavilion.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
