Catherine Bertaine Waters, age 82, of Nicholls passed away February 9, 2022 at Coffee Regional Medical Center after a short illness. Born in Coffee County on August 24, 1939 to Lonnie Hutcheson and Rachel Wilkerson Hutcheson. She was a member Saginaw Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Lee Waters; son, Ronnie Dale Waters; grandson, Rusty Waters; granddaughter, Rachel Waters; brother, William Hutcheson and great-granddaughter, Destiny Grace Parrish. Survivors include three sons, Rickey Waters (Cindy), Randy Lee Waters (Sybrena) and Russell Anthony Waters; daughter, Sandy Waters Overstreet (Bennie); brother, Daniel Hutcheson; sisters, Lonnie Faye Vaughn (Richard), Rebecca Dixon (R.H.), Judy Beecher, Jane Hutcheson, Jean Delacruz and Robyn Mims (Billy Ray); sister-in law, Wanda Hutcheson; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Swain and Rev. L. G. Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Jesse Roberson, Tim Waters, Ronnie Downing, Christopher Brennan, Kevin Waters, Johnny Dixon, Jeffery Williford and Michael Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be; Sr. Sunday school Class of Saginaw Baptist Church, Joyce Rewis and Linda Rewis.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
