Cathy Sue Hyers, age 62, of Alma passed away March 9, 2022 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville after a short illness. Born in Bacon County on May 6, 1959 to Cager Hyers and Betty Lurene Carter Hyers. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Janette Tanner. She was retired from the Bacon County School System and was a member of Southside Church of God.

Survivors include her sister, Joyce Harrell; brother, Ronnie Hyers (Donna); nieces and nephew, Kayla Davis (Travis), Jennifer Lee (Walt), Daffany Moore (Leigh Ann), Melissa Hyers and Kyle Hyers; great nieces and nephews, Jenna Lee, Bentlee Jordan, Karagyn Hyers, Cy Taylor and Case Davis and special friends, Bonnie Rewis and Debra Roberts.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM.A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Deen officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be; Members of Southside Church of God and the Alma Dialysis Clinic Staff.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
