Charles Paul Johnson, age 75, of Alma passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at after an extended illness. He was born in Alma, Georgia on September 8, 1941 to the late Dr. Linton Carroll (L.C.) Johnson and Ruth Masser Johnson. He had lived in Nashville, Tennessee for many years before moving back to Alma in 2011.
He owned and operator of several pharmacies for many years; also a local blueberry farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Morris Johnson of Alma, his children, Mark Johnson, Meredith Herb (Sean) of Savannah, Georgia and Amanda Russo (Lamar) of Charlotte, North Carolina, stepchildren, Justin Goodman and Amanda Goodman of Alma, brother, Mark Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee, sister, Mary Nell Beck of Norfolk, Virginia; also 4 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 28th at 4:00 PM at Pine Level Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Allen Hartsfield and Terry Beck officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 2:30 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Billy Ray Mims, Bill Johnson, Michael Beck, Justin Goodman, Dale Morris, Sean Herb and Lamar Russo. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
