Charles Reuben Simmons, III, passed away July 10, 2025, after a short illness. He was born December 14, 1943, in Charlotte, NC to the late Charles Reuben, Jr and Miriam Chapple Simmons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elma Jane Meeks Simmons.

He served in the United States Airforce and served in the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Bickley Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Charles Avery Simmons of Nicholls, GA.

A memorial service in his honor will be held at a later date.
